A sketch of history is a reflection on the credibility of images and the authenticity human history. History is socially constructed by the winners of wars and written by the authors of history textbooks. With all the addition, distortion and erasure, how much of the history we see now is real? Today, one can easily tell that an images could be entirely generated by technology tools like AI and it might not be an evidence real history. Yet, how many of us wonder if we're living in a world of narratives that have been designed by the others? This project was motivated by a curiosity and rethinking about history. Through this research-led project, I realise there could be multiple accounts for one piece ofhistory that has been taken for granted and passed down through the generations. In the project, I use Ai to generate and PS to twist a large amount of images highlighting specific and significant historical events and art movements and college them in to a a 450cmx150cm print. I aim to challenge and confront the audiences with huge AI-sketched images which they can immediately recognise its fake nature. It is an invitation for all of us to discover more fake sketch of history in reality.
